24-HOUR RECORD RETRIEVER & ABSTRACT, INC. ACQUIRES EXPRESS ABSTRACT, INC.
OSWEGO, NY - 24-Hour Record Retriever & Abstract, Inc. has acquired Oswego-based Express Abstract, Inc., according to Ryan Thorpe, president of 24RR&A
Terms of the acquisition were not entirely disclosed. Frances Wegzyn, former owner of Express Abstract, Inc. has agreed, however, to join the professional staff of 24RR&A.
"We're very pleased to welcome Frances to the 24RR&A team and are confident her years of experience will be extremely beneficial to our customers and this organization," Thorpe said.
"We welcome her enthusiasm and commitment with regard to this transition," he added.
24-Hour Record Retriever & Abstract, Inc., headquartered in Oswego, was founded and incorporated by partners Aaron Smith and Thorpe in December 2002. The company provides Central New York Area law firms, financial institutions, municipalities, homeowners and business enterprises with over 50 years combined experience in the abstract and title search and title insurance industries.
Express Abstract, Inc., formerly located at 100 East First Street in Oswego, was established over 20 years ago by Wegzyn, and has served numerous clients during that tenure for continuations and filings; title insurance; abstracts and more.
"Over the last 20 years, I have watched the abstract and title insurance industry change considerably," Wegzyn said. "Technology, products and services have changed and the real estate business is much different than when Express opened its doors."
"In the past two years, since 24RR&A opened, I have watched the company bring new innovations and efficiency to the local industry," she said. "Their commitment to their customers, fast turnaround time, as well as a strong dedication to the growth of local community is real and on the move.

During the past year, 24-Hour Record Retriever & Abstract, Inc. introduced their new corporate website; developed and launched software known as Cover Sheet Maker 1.0, that simplifies the abstract recording process; and relocated into new corporate offices.
"We're extremely enthusiastic about where the company is heading ," said Aaron Smith, co-owner of the abstract company. "The business has shown significant growth in just two years and we anticipate a similar trend in 2005 and going forward."
